Insolvency Lawyer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insolvency Lawyer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in handling a diverse range of insolvency matters, contributing their expertise to a complex and varied caseload, providing strategic guidance to our clients. This role demands a proficient understanding of both corporate and personal insolvency law, with strong commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management
– Independently manage and oversee a mixed caseload of insolvency cases, ensuring adherence to legal timelines, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
Legal Advisory:
– Offer expert advice on all aspects of insolvency law, for various stakeholders, including rights, obligations, and resolution of non-contentious and contentious issues.
Litigation Support:
– Provide comprehensive support in contentious insolvency matters, including court appearances and settlements.
Client Interaction:
– Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering tailored legal solutions aligned with client objectives.
Supervision:
Provide support and supervision to junior members of the insolvency team and across the wider business.
Key Skills & Attributes
• A qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive with a minimum of 3+ years PQE in insolvency law.
• Proven experience of independently managing a caseload of insolvency matters, demonstrating a sound understanding of legal procedures and compliance obligations.
• Strong advocacy and litigation skills, including experience in court proceedings related to insolvency matters.
• Ability to apply legal expertise pragmatically in commercial contexts, providing strategic advice for clients facing complex financial situations, and to be able to develop a deep understanding of a client’s business needs.
• Skilled in client relations, adept at analysis, communication, and organisation, maintaining and nurturing strong client connections. Existing client base advantageous but not essential.
