As a co-founder of Silverback Law, Jo currently serves as the Chief Finance and Compliance Officer. Since March 2015, she has held the dual roles of Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) and Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA). As the company’s appointed Training Principal, Jo is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial health and ensuring compliance across all operational areas.

A qualified solicitor with over 15 years of experience, Jo’s legal career began in corporate finance at a global full-service law firm. Her expertise spans a wide range of corporate transactions, including public and private company investments, mergers and acquisitions, buyouts, shareholder agreements, and business restructuring.

At Silverback Law, Jo combines her corporate knowledge with her passion for problem-solving, working closely with the litigation and insolvency teams to provide tailored advice on complex corporate matters.

When not immersed in her professional responsibilities, Jo embraces an active lifestyle, enjoying open-water swimming and practicing yoga.
