As Senior Legal Cashier, Lewis plays an essential role in supporting the finance department and addressing clients’ financial queries. Joining the firm in 2021 directly after completing sixth form, Lewis quickly adapted to the fast-paced environment, benefitting from Silverback’s supportive and collaborative culture.

In his role, Lewis handles posting financial transactions, including purchase and sales invoices as well as incoming and outgoing payments, on the firm’s accounting software. Lewis is also responsible for enforcing the firm’s credit control procedures and routinely follow up on outstanding invoices. Serving as the primary contact for accounts-related inquiries, he assists colleagues by verifying payments, sending cheques, and explaining client ledgers as needed.

Lewis recently achieved his Level 4 Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification, which builds on the Level 3 AAT they completed the previous year. This advanced certification has provided him with technical and specialised accountancy skills that enhance his contribution to the firm’s financial operations. With A-Levels in History, Mathematics, and Accountancy, Lewis is motivated to continue advancing his qualifications in the accountancy field, with an eye on pursuing ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) certification.

Beyond work, he is an avid Aston Villa supporter, frequently visiting Villa Park Stadium to cheer on his favourite team. He also enjoy playing 5-a-side football weekly and have a passion for travel. An upcoming trip to Thailand next Easter will allow them to explore Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi, and more.
